The faculty of ETIT wanted more applicants and a clearer public image. Many people don’t understand what electrical engineering actually is and the challenges it addresses: renewable energy, robotics, digitalization. The faculty needed a campaign that explains the field’s real-world relevance, highlights career security, and encourages women to join a traditionally male-dominated discipline.
We collaborated with brand strategist Florian Hämmerle and turned mathematical equations into a visual language. The line “Be part of the equation” invites students to join the future-relevant study courses. Conductive traces and stylized equations form animated worlds that illustrate the faculty’s focus areas—from energy systems to robotics. Subtle trace movements also appear in the ETIT logo animation. The goal was a clear, social-first visual system that makes complex topics feel tangible and exciting.
Design needs purpose. For ETIT we aimed to empower young adults to tackle climate change with technology and inspire overwhelmed teenagers to take action by applying to ETIT and work on solutions. The campaign improved applications and spotlighted successful female scientists as role models for young women in a male-dominated field.

“‘Be part of the equation’ inspires not only prospective students but also us electrical engineers anew. The slogan perfectly illustrates the philosophy of our faculty by connecting our motivation to actively shape the future with the central tool of science: mathematics. Florian and RAWTY have shown me how proud I truly am to be part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. I am part of the equation!”
